The new SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition new release brings with it a variety of innovations to help businesses run smoother than before. In this blog post, we’re going to talk about the highlights of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302. The key innovations are in areas such as finance, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing and procurement, sales, asset management, sustainability, and governance, risk and compliance. In Part I of this blog, we will go into further details of finance, manufacturing and supply chain but before that, let’s highlight some of the collaborative innovations of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2302.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302 offers next level collaborative capabilities, most noteworthy being Microsoft Teams Integration – the “Share as Chat” option allows you to share content based on SAP Fiori elements apps directly into Microsoft Teams and accelerates tasks that need immediate attention. Another exciting feature, the “Share as Tab”, which as the name suggests, lets you share business data with your co-workers through Microsoft Teams channels as tabs, where they can collaborate in real time and make informed decisions simply because they have better visibility and access to the latest filtered information.
More collaborative features include seamless Google Workspace Integration, which makes it very easy to exchange and edit SAP data in real time and allows you to connect core SAP software operations in the cloud with Google Sheets.
Introduction of the new business process for Engineer to Order (ETO) in SAP S/4HANA Cloud public edition 2302, enables you to integrate your projects with sales orders with direct flow of revenue to projects. The process begins with the company receiving a sales order with new product specs and connects the required steps between a project and its follow-up processes such as sales, purchasing, etc.
This end-to-end process offers many advantages in finance, some of which are visibility into event-based production costs at project level, including for example, material costs, activities and overhead costs. Real-time insights into costs and revenues at project level by using event-based product costs and event-based revenue recognition; analysis of project profitability by running margin analysis. The biggest advantage of this feature to be able to connect the dots between projects and follow-up processes such as sales, purchasing and manufacturing allowing you easy management with better transparency.
In manufacturing, the new “Capacity Evolution” SAP Fiori app for capacity planning and scheduling brings in lots of flexibility. With this new feature, capacity analysts are able to get flexible options to better suit you by offering you with an overview of offered or available capacity, based on a flexible defined timeframe.
The new enhancement in supply chain is enabled with the “Transfer-In Plant” app, which makes it possible to scan barcodes which are configured with GS1 barcode standard. You can scan barcodes with your device’s built- in camera as well as with an external scanner. With this new feature you can scan combinations of materials, batches or GTINs, enabling a much faster and more efficient processing of inventory operations.
