In our last blog on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition 2302 new release, we talked about enhancements across finance, manufacturing and supply chain along with innovations in user experience with better collaborative additions. In Part II of this blog on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2302, we will talk about the new enablements introduced in sourcing and procurement, sales, asset management and sustainability.
In this new release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302, there is the option of sending a dunning reminder for purchase orders so that a purchase officer in an organization can create and send goods or services delivery reminders to business partners in order to remind them of overdue delivery dates. The purchase officer can also email/print the dunning letters with unfulfilled quantities and overdue dates. What this feature enables is ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while diminishing the manual workload that comes with these tasks, resulting in faster and efficient work.
The sales process gets an upgrade in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302 with the ability to have a role-based access to price and cost details in sales orders. What this does is helps to set up the system to automatically control the access that business users have to price elements in a sales order header or item. The new release puts controls on access based on the configuration of access levels and settings for any role that has the business catalogue sales – sales order processing assigned. This way, what it does is provides business with the flexibility to restrict access to sensitive price and cost information and to also control change capabilities in sales order processes.
In Part I of the blog on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302, we talked about the innovations in collaborative capabilities of the ERP. In asset management too, the focus is on collaboration – enabling external facilitation between service providers and subcontractors using external catalogues. In the new release, to meet the requirements in maintenance management, several new configuration activities have been included for better collaborative efficiency – for example the ability to assign the specified catalogues to one or more combinations of maintenance order types and maintenance planning plants.
What’s exciting about the new release - SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition 2302, is the introduction of the ability to calculate freight transport footprints enabled by the SAP Product Footprint Management. This update can help business get insights on the environmental impact caused by goods transportation and calculate the freight transport footprint of the company. The in-built analytics part of the update helps in detailed reporting on various levels as also on service mapping based on geo-location – providing visualization of transport flows and routes with consequential emissions.
